Gourmet food at reasonable prices is how David Shehadeh describes Olive Tree Marketplace, a new chain of stores he and his five brothers plan to open in the Tri-state area.

The first store in the Olive Tree Marketplace chain is opening Friday at 1490 Clove Rd. in Sunnyside in the 9,000-square-foot storefront that formerly housed Mignosi Supermarket, which closed suddenly in September.

"We will have everything that a gourmet supermarket has combined with everything you'd find in a conventional supermarket," said Shehadeh, who with his brothers own four supermarkets in Brooklyn.

The name of the chain was derived from all the "healthy and natural ingredients" that will be used in the gourmet prepared foods and catering services offered at the store, said Hani Qassis, Olive Tree Marketplace's gourmet chef.

"We will have all healthy choices, including gluten-free. We will have Italian, Middle Eastern, French and Mediterranean foods," said Qassis, who added that his experience includes working for both the White House and George Steinbrenner.
"We also offer a custom menu for catering services," he added.
